Olpe fire department /
lyon county fire district #1
The Olpe Fire Department is an all volunteer organization. Without an active membership it would be impossible for us to provide emergency services to the communities we serve. The Olpe Fire Department is constantly looking for individuals that are interested in making a difference in the community. With the high demand for volunteer firefighters across the state, there is no experience or training required as it will be offered once you are a member.
To join you must be a citizen of the district and willing to donate your time in making a difference in your community. Applications are available by stopping by the fire department and speaking with an officer. All active members are expected to participate in monthly meetings, drills, and work details.
The Olpe Fire Department has a monthly meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Fire Station. The meeting begins at 7 PM. There is also a First Responder / EMS training meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This meeting also begins at 7 PM.
If you have any questions or are interested in joining you may stop by the fire department any time, call 620-475-3471 or email olpefire@olpefire.com
It is the policy of The Olpe Fire Department not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, political beliefs, or handicapped conditions.
